Syringes, needles and lancets used in the medical treatment of people and animals should never be disposed of in the trash or flushed down the toilet. State law requires they be placed in approved red biohazard containers for transport to and management by approved hazardous waste facilities such as the Delta Household Hazardous Waste Facility at DDSD. Call (925) 756 1990 to request a free Home Sharps Container by mail.
